Boy George, Then and Now....

So since I was about 8 or 9 I was a big fan of Boy George. My favourite memory is probably debating with my neighbour if he was a boy or girl, not understanding gay yet obviously. I was on the girl side... sorry, I know I'm an ass, but I had never seen any man that feminine before. On the flip side my friend had a huge crush on him. I think I'm glad I just thought he was a girl. The picture to the right is the exact poster we were debating over.

As some of you may know Boy George was DJing in Toronto last night. Although 20 years have passed, and my obsession has lessened, I felt the need to see him. So I went; his after picture is to the left.

Here is my short review:

1) A little disappointed as he didn't come on until 2:00 am. On the flip side he played until after 3:00 so that kept the bar a bit more full.

2) His DJ ing wasn't that spectacular. Now I have never DJ'd before, but I have seen/heard quite a few DJs and he was just mediocre.

3) His look. Now this I loved! Not because it was good, but because it was Ricockulous. It was Boy George, older, heavier, but still wearing the same shit. Apparently you can take the Boy out of the 80's but you can't take the 80's out of the Boy! And good for him. I have put one more picture just to show his 'outfit'. He full on Bedazzled the shit out of it!

So, in summary, the party was fun; seeing Boy George was cool... but the 80's are long gone :-(

It's My Birthday!!!!

It's official, I am 29!!! Yippee!!




What can I say, it's been fun!!! Thanks again for helping me celebrate on Friday. It's always nice to have all the people you care about together in one room without it being your funeral.


I had a great time because of you. Rather then retelling the stories I'll let the pictures talk. I wish I could put them ALL up but there are so many you will just have to come visit me to see the rest.

Congratulations!!

I just wanted to wish the newly weds all the best. They had a wonderful wedding, and I trust will have an even better Honeymoon.

Stagette

First of all I wanted to extend a Congratulations to my friend IH who is getting married on Saturday February 17, 2007.

This past Saturday we had her Stagette party. I only knew a few of the girls there and that worried me but it ended up being a great time. We started with dinner and then went bar hopping. We hit Shoeless Joes and watched the hockey game, we went to Fion McCools where a random guy asked me to go to the Bahama's with him. We went to West where we met some New Yorkers who we tried to get to strip for IH. Then a new place called Chaval where IH saw her grade 7 crush. The final stop For Your Eyes Only (female strip club). Unfortunately, it was too late and we were quickly kicked out of the strippers, so instead we went for Chinese food.

The night was full of crazy antics, but the most impressive was the amount IH drank. We all had our fair share of shots and cocktails, but IH had over 14 shots and likely 10 cocktails and other items of impairment... No one really knows. I'm surprised she made it home, and not looking too bad either might I add.

Looking forward to the Wedding... I trust it will be just as much fun.

New Years Eve in New York City

The Last day of 2006 and where best to celebrate a fabulous year, but the fantabulous city of New York. The group of us, 7 in total, headed to Cipriani's Ballroom for a New Years Eve Gala, yes I said Gala. Seriously we were all decked out in our finest fatigues, ready for food, booze, and fun New York Style (similar to the cheese cake with less cheese, more sauce).

The evening started with line ups, endless line ups, IDs checked, tickets taken, coats hung, buffet eating... it was not what we expected, but it wasn't going to put a damper on the evening. The attempt to get booze was an ordeal itself. Trying to get drinks at a crowded bar anywhere is hard, trying to get a drink at an open bar requires 2 things 1) Being pushy, and little helps (as I am) 2) having the ladies on display, which I also did :-). So first round I got 4 drinks and everyone else ordered the same and we settled in at our own made bar in the corner. We were lock, stocked and soon to be loaded. The night progressed well, we danced, we laughed, the DJ missed midnight. True ... so at about 12:03 we counted down to 12:04 and brought in the 4th minute of the New Year.

The night would not have been complete without a few bloopers. For example TG's tits out, Me falling flat on my face while attempting to do the running man, and TG and LS's stumble on the sidewalk in the rain. As you know upon arrival we didn't expect we would be the last to leave, but honestly I wasn't surprised. Before we knew it it was 4:30 am, the lights were on and it was time to go. We gathered our things and headed home.

I hope you all had a wonderful New Years Eve and have a fabulous 2007. To quote my hungover self "2007 is the Year of Year!" Make the most of it.

2006 the year of blogs.

I have had a 'secret' blog for the ladies for a little while now, and was encouraged to share the wealth and have a blog for the rest of you. I hope not to bore you with daily nothings, but I do intend to share moments that have been significant to me.

So here it is. It has started, Crazy's Chronicles... and I will begin with the most important day of my year :-) My birthday.

There were quite a few 'Funny' things that happened at my party this year... surprisingly not at all similar to last year.

I would love to remind you of last years antics but as any good host would say, you had to be there. Truth be told I don't remember much from that night.

But I digress... here are this years antics, some I was reminded of, some I have photos of and some are just hearsay ... if you have any other stories or pictures, that I may not have seen or forgotten, please let me know.

1) Greeting all my guests (who arrived after 10) with a tongue thrashing.

2) Reesa Fits in a Dryer... there is proof, Deanna took a picture.

3) Reesa walks out of the men’s room, followed by Fahel and Bernardi... I have no idea what was going on in there, I totally forgot, Kelly tells me this (not sure if she is a reliable source).

-- So I found out from Bernardi what happen in the men's room. Wasn't as bad as I thought. Enough said.

4) Reesa tries to undress a cop, ‘cause she thinks he’s a stripper, I remember this, and also have pictures to prove it. I spent 15 minutes trying to convince Toronto's Finest to get his cock out. Unfortunately he never did, but fortunately I didn't get arrested for harassing a cop, public drunkenness, and well other things. He was also nice enough to pose for the picture.

Lastly I want to pose the question:
